What to expect before, during and after Inspection

We encourage you to attend your home inspection so that you gain an understanding of how your home functions and what steps to take to keep it in top condition. It is an opportunity to learn more about your home and get first hand answers to any questions and share any concerns you may have. A Full Home Inspection generally takes two and one half to three hours to complete, you do not have to be there the entire time if it is not possible.
- Please sign your home inspection agreement before your scheduled appointment so that the inspector can perform his duties without delay (it will be emailed to you soon after booking your appointment along with a payment link)
- Make sure that all utilities are turned ON ( water, electric and gas) prior to your inspection. The inspector cannot inspect the homes' systems unless he can operate them.
- Attend the inspection or have someone you trust be there for you.
Your home inspector will usually get started on the outside portion of the inspection first, then proceed with the interior inspection of the house, conducting the inspection according to the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI) Standards of Practice. He will also be taking many pictures to include in his report and provide visuals for his findings. Your home inspector will advise you when to join him for the walk through, providing you with the highlights, and describe any issues found.
After compiling the report, the inspector will have it uploaded through our software for easy access by you and your realtor. Within 24 hours, you will have digital access to an informative and innovative home inspection report (see an example below) from the convenience of your home computer or mobile device. Your home inspection report contains photos and detailed descriptions of potential defects and problems with an interactive actionable feature that benefits both, home buyers and realtors. This feature allows you to turn your home inspection findings and recommendations into a collective list that can be accessed by all parties involved in the buying or selling process. It helps organize repair requests into a list that can be attached to the repair addendum before closing.
